"Kenmochi Bassoon Works" developed the Bocal of four types with new Mensur, in order to support a bassoon player's performance. About the relation between reed and a bassoon, the selection from this lineup brings about a superior condition, and sets intonation and a sound quality to very secure. In addition, flexible "blowing feeling" is given and abundant music expressions are realized.

"Tonal fundamentals" of Epees series is excellent in flexibility and response qualities. beautiful fluid character makes enough blowing and lovely tone possible, and stabilizes intonation more correctly from bass to upper register. These feature of character realizes your unique tone and extremely greater sound projection with rich music expression.
The material of Epees Bocal adopted "the alloy which makes the component of 19.5% nickel from 16.5%" to achieve "Sound with Projection". This nickel silver maintains ductility, so then "Metal Plastic Working" is strong and also excellent in corrosion resistance. Plating of Epees Bocal is 2 layer structure of the different material. "The nickel plating given to a basis" gives the sound quality "Higher harmonics" and "Clear tone" and also improves "Response". And "Rich sound" and "the sound quality with the flexibility" were added by plating a surface with silver, and the sound quality element of Epees Bocal was made more abundant. KBW established the new processing method which restrained "the material which decreases by processing". And it was also possible to achieve "the flexible and warm sound" more and expand the width of dynamic rang.
